I added a black and white filter to give it a darker effect which fits in with the convention of the horror genre.

I then overlaid two photos (water damage photo and a TV static image), I changed the opacity of both images to get this effect.

 I then added the font which is LED Lights, I also added the outer glow effect. The reason I used this font is it because it fits the convention of the genre as it is simple but effective at the same time. I have also released that there is a spelling mistake with unconscious. 

After that I added top black bars at the top and the bottom to give it an enclosed look. In the top it has a quote in courier new, that gives the poster more appeal. In the bottom bar it has the credit block in it. I then added the slogan and the month it will be released under the film title.

 In the bottom bar I then added the films social media (Instagram and Twitter). This is the finished poster. 

I followed all the processes as much as I possible could. I feel that in the planning stages I used almost all of what I researched such as getting other ideas from horror film posters. However. I did not use any of the fonts I picked from Dafont, as none of them suited the convention of the genre, so I had to change the font I was going to use. In terms of the recee and healthy an safety checks I feel like I followed them well, as no accidence happened in the studio or the classroom as I followed the location recces well.
